MONTHLY TELEPHONE GATHERING RECORDINGS

One of the best services the division offers its members, is a chance to meet other members, talk about how each of us work at our craft, and learn by interacting with guest speakers. This happens through our monthly telephone gathering. Most months we have a guest speaker; which could be a publisher, an editor, an author, a president of another NFB division, and more.

These gatherings are held the last Sunday of the month. We use a free conference call service. A notice goes out on our mailing list STYLIST and to all members that we have an email address for. (This is a great time to meet and interact with other Division members; put a voice to a name.)

• September 2015- Members talk: We learned of a new revolutionary writing platform for our craft... Audible comics.
  
• August 2015- Members talk: Our special guest had to reschedule; members shared writing tips, gave news on writing projects, and got to further know one another.
  
• July 2015- Members Talk: The membership meet the newly elected Division leadership.

• January 2015- Special Guest, Diane Croft: publishing with National Braille Press

• Author, David Wermuth: Self-publishing, from writing, to marketing of his two books: "Suddenly Blind" and "David You're Blind".
  

• Editor, Debbie Kent Stine: Described her job as lead editor on the publication of our NFB news magazine, Future Reflections, designed for parents and teachers of blind youth.
